About the 2021 Drink Chile Virtual Wine Expo:

Wines of Chile together with ProChile is hosting a virtual wine expo to connect Chilean wineries with the beverage buyers, wine media and wine educators in Canada. 2021 Drink Chile is complimentary to attend, registration is required.

This event is complimentary and is open to members of the hospitality industry, wine media, retail beverage buyers, restaurant beverage buyers, sommeliers and wine educators seeking more information about wineries present in the Canadian market or new to the market.

Drink Chile 2021 is a trade only, hybrid event, meaning that it will be held in two forms: virtually online and live in Toronto.
The online format will be hosted on vfairs.com an interactive platform providing a virtual trade show experience world for attendee avatars to browse and engage with fellow attendees and exhibitors. Attendee avatars will enter a virtual convention centre into a Lobby space where they can browse different rooms including an auditorium, lounge and exhibit hall. Once in the exhibit hall, attendees can visit participating winery stands and access their wine portfolio, tech sheets, Canadian availability and order samples. Drink Chile 2021 virtual can be accessed by anyone all over the world but content is designed for trade across Canada Wine availability and agent information will be listed by province.
The live in person format will take place indoors in Toronto at Arcadian Loft on November 3rd. Due to provincially required Covid measures for indoor dining establishments and events, our event will look different this year. As such, this year’s format will not be a walk around tasting. Masks will be required upon entering the building and must remain on until seated as well as attendees are required to show proof of double vaccination. This is no different than what is expected when dining at a restaurant. The tasting format will require guests to choose from three seating times and be seated at individual tables socially distant from one another. Seating times are 1.5 hours each and up to 8 wines can be ordered at one time from participating wineries from the catalogue through a server. Winery representatives will also be roaming the room to offer and pour their wines for attendees. Guests are permitted to visit winery tables providing they wear a mask.
Yes. A bento box catered by O+B will provide light food pairings that may be consumed during the tasting at your table.
Drink Chile 2021 virtual will be open online for product viewing on November 1st and stay open until November 30th. All live chat features will be activated on the official kick off day which is November 3rd from 9:00 am-5:00 pm Eastern Standard Time. The event program will include a live stream masterclass at 1:00 PM filmed live from Toronto, Ontario.

Yes, there is one masterclass at 1:00 PM EST on November 3rd that will stream live from Toronto onto the vfairs platform at the same time. Attendees must be pre-registered to view content during the live event and access all content on-demand after the event is over.
Yes, you will need to pre-register for both the live and virtual events. (Note: If you have registered already as an exhibitor on the exhibitor platform, you can login with your exhibitor credentials) Attendees can choose the events they wish to attend on the registration page. Once registered, you will receive an email confirmation with login info. No. You do not need to download or install any software to participate. You only need to have access to the Internet. vfairs is also a web based platform and is best experienced from a laptop or desktop. vfairs does not have a mobile app.
The masterclass will be hosted live from Toronto at 1:00 PM in Eastern Standard Time.
Yes, we are excited to offer live masterclass attendees a hard copy of Amanda Barnes new book “The South America Wine Guide”. Virtual attendees will receive an e-book.
Wines featured in the virtual masterclass will be sent out to the first 20 qualified registrants. Registrants must be located in the GTA For all other wines featured, samples can be requested directly to the agent via the vfairs platform.
Yes, the chatrooms will be made live for a one to one audio or video call only on November 3rd from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. After that date attendees can still use email links to connect with winery representatives directly.
